I have been at NIM WAN since the 11th Moon, 1938.

At about 22.00 hours on 17th September, 1939, while

outside my house I saw a large junk on fire in DEEP BAY about

midway between NIM WAN and SHE HOW (

). The junk was

on fire for about 3 hours.

I did not see any craft near the burning junk.

No one from the junk came to my place.

It did not drift in from the open sea.
